MEDITATION GROUP

Michael has been practising meditation since 2002. On that journey he has explored various meditation practises including Transcendental meditation, Buddhist meditation and chakra energy meditation. The group meditations are mostly silent with occasional guided meditation. Research shows there are physical and psychological benefits when we meditate regularly.

The aim of this meditation group is to assist people who have experience in meditation but are having difficulty maintaining their practise. If you have not meditated before but would like to learn and progress to the meditation group a separate introductory course is available.

The meditation group is in person not online. The collective energy of a small group enhances the meditation experience, encouraging an environment of healing. The group meets every Wednesday between 9pm-9.30pm. Fee 10 Euro.

6 WEEK MINDFULNESS & MEDITATION COURSE

If you pay attention to the present you can improve on it. And if you improve on the present what comes later will also be better. This course will teach you how to pay more attention to the present moment and allow you to increase your level of well being and personal effectiveness.

You will learn body Relaxation, how to meditate on the breath, to respond rather than react, to become more accepting and non judgemental and also be more at ease with yourself and others. Research shows mindfulness and meditation practise reduces negative thoughts, blood pressure and stress related illness while increasing self esteem, sleep quality, job performance and satisfaction. The last 4 Groups who completed the course reported an average stress reduction of 56.5%, 44%,73%, and 60.25%. See testimonial section for course reviews.

Course venue

The Backyard, Arts & Cultural Centre, Moynehall, Cavan town on Wednesday/Thursday nights between 8pm-9pm. Fee 130 Euro. Note the group is limited to 8 people.
